| CHALLENGE: The Tier-1 US Converged Service Provider wanted to create an unified storefront for content and applications for their entire handset portfolio. The Service Provider also wanted to have a mechanism to promote their applications and other data services directly on the idle screen of the handset. | SOLUTION: mPortal is implementing its SPRINGBOARD Smart Client and SPRINGBOARD CDM, and is integrating with content providers for infotainment content (content, news, weather). mPortal is also enabling the capability to push advertisements to the idle screen, and allow for individual subscriber personalization of the content via widgets on the idle screen. The solution provides a means for subscribers to discover and download content and applications in a seamless manner, thereby increasing downloads and data ARPU.
